I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in trauma, substance use disorders and codependency and relational/attachment. For nearly 15 years, I have worked with complex trauma and substance use disorders in inpatient and outpatient treatment programs. I am a certified EMDR therapist as well as an EMDR Consultant-in-Training. I utilize EMDR therapy to assist with identifying, exploring and reprocessing distressing experiences that have occurred in the past to reduce the emotional distress they currently have which affects our present and future. I also utilize CBT, DBT and mindfulness to help reduce emotional suffering, foster resiliency and promote inner healing. I also utilize and teach mindfulness skills to reduce stress, anxiety, depression and to promote a sense of ease. I am interactive in therapy sessions and strive to hold us both accountable throughout the therapeutic process. I encourage feedback to guide and strengthen the therapeutic relationship. I am also passionate about providing clinical training and supervision to clinicians who are pursuing their Master’s degrees and who are progressing toward licensure.
