Intern Information

The Multicultural Therapy Academy offers psychodynamic, CBT, Solution Focus and Narrative training to MFT’s, MSW’s and LPCC with Psychological Interns and post-graduate psychologists in the future. We accept up to eight trainees each year. We focus on client-center and the process between therapist and client with emphasis on transference and counter-transference reactions. We focus on self-care, compassion fatigue and the 3-B’s (Balance, Boundaries & Battles [pick your]).

Our program is intense, creative yet fulfilling and we believe in providing a safe space allowing individuals to find their voice. You will also learn the pros and cons of private practice settings learning every aspect, including billing.

Our goal is to have an office that looks like our world, offering different ethnicities who can learn and teach about various communities.
